Dear New York Socialist Party member,

It is our pleasure to invite all Party members in New York to our state convention on March 15th at the A.J. Muste Institute at 339 Lafayette St. (buzzer #11) in Manhattan . The meeting will start at 3 PM.

The meeting room is in the same building as the party’s national office, on the corner of Bleecker & Lafayette Sts. in Manhattan . All dues paying members in good standing have the right to attend and vote at the meeting. To be considered in good standing, your membership must be paid through September 2007. You can renew your membership by mail through the enclosed renewal form or on-line at:
http://www.socialistparty-usa.org/joinus/paydues.html.

The annual Left Forum is being held on the same weekend as the state convention, and our party will take part (including helping to organize a workshop). To register or get more information of the Left Forum you can check out their website www.leftforum.org.

Two main topics of our state convention will be:

1) A new State committee with chairperson, secretary and treasurer will be elected. All locals are invited to nominate members to the committee.

2)The upcoming election will also be discussed, especially the form of the campaign for our presidential candidate.

In solidarity,

Ruth Greenberg, on behalf of the SP State organization in New York
Tommy Miles, on behalf of the SP NYC-local
