Iraq Anti-War Rally to Present Alternative “Columbus Day” Parade

Four State Convergence of Peace Action groups on Wall St. NYC 10/09/06 to protest against War Profiteers and Empire Builders

PORTLAND, Me. - Peace groups from four states* will converge on Wall St, in front of the New York Stock Exchange, N.Y.C., at 3pm, Monday October 9th, “Columbus Day,” to protest the financiers and profiteers of the War on Iraq. Groups will march from the southern tip of Manhattan up Broadway to Wall Street circle around the NYSE in a parade and stage on the steps of Federal Hall to deliver addresses and greet Traders when they leave the floor of the Exchange

actions planned On Monday, 10/23, 5 Pm, At South Ferry (Manhattan Ferry Terminal) around the city to defend our rights to wear t-shirts in Arabic or any other damn language we want!

On Monday, October 9th, I boarded the Staten Island Ferry wearing a shirt that reads "We Will Not Be Silent" in English and Arabic. Immediately after boarding, my four armed Coast Guard officers positioned themselves around me and my friends.
