DINNER & DISCUSSION

Bhairavi Desai & Ed Ott

In the 21st Century, conventional trade union organization has no longer proved to be sufficient for responding to the assaults on a labor force that is now fragmented into a variety of traditional and non-traditional working situations. Tonight we host a discussion between Bhairavi Desai, Executive Director of the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, and Ed Ott, Executive Director of the New York City Central Labor Counsel--two creative labor leaders who have been forging innovative ways to revive labor activism.
